There are 7,758 Christmas Packages that will leave tomorrow morning November, 25th 2008 from the Northwest University campus in Kirkland Washington, and begin their long journey to the front lines of Afghanistan and Iraq....

Yes, once again we were blessed to have received the needed support to not only reach but exceed the goal of 50,000 individual quality packages for our troops after this our sixth year. Last Friday (Nov21st), morning, 600+ university students arrived at 10:00am to begin packing these wonderful packages. Then Cedar Park Christian, Sound Christian, St. Fancis, and others soon joined in the fun and before we knew it we had 3500 of these precious Christmas packages ready to go.... It was an amazing site for sure. One that we all will never forget...

That evening there were another 4,058 packages prepared by my own local Kirkland Kiwanis Club , United Pilots Wives, Microsoft, Cedar Park Assembley of God, St. Thomas, so many others, including many dear friends... We all gathered together, and it was nothing short of a Christmas miracle to watch .... There were at least 500 to 600 more people that came and went that evening to show their support for our men and women serving on the front lines ......Everyone excited to pack for our military who continue to sacrifice so much for us here at home...

A total of 7,758 were prepared throughout the day, and no doubt done by some of the best people in the Northwest!!!! I will take a moment to write the rest of this Christmas Story a bit later on the "Good News Corner"! But for now , we can have Thanksgiving knowing our troops will have a "moment of joy " this Christmas! Yes, you all made it happen again!

There are still a lot of good things happening in America , and our military men and women will feel " The Spirit of Christmas" from home this year !!!! Just a small token of what they continue to give us each and every day!!!

Sending Blessings at Thanksgiving To All,
Operation Iraq: The Spirit of Christmas

We thank Cedar Park Assembly of God of Bothell for their assistance in providing us with our non-profit status.

Thank you once again for your continuing support. Together we have sent the Spirit of Christmas to the front lines. Blessings to you and your loved ones throughout the holiday season.
